Designing beautiful new kitchens is something we love to do here at 80/20, so when we had the chance to design two kitchens with some incredible interior designers, we jumped at the chance. The first kitchen we designed was in collaboration with interior designer Sophie Robinson. This kitchen is bright, bold and beautiful.
Manufactured using an oak effect cabinet interior and oak backing for the Ladbroke handles, this kitchen still shows off the beauty of timber whilst being incredibly bold. Cabinet fronts finished in the incredible Marine Blue by Little Greene balance beautifully with the oak elements in the room, and really help the open shelving feature to stand out. The cabinet fronts are finished in a grain visible texture to help show the beautiful quality of our kitchens.
As the show home was open plan, Sophie also asked us to create a media unit for the living room section. This was again in the same Ladbroke style, with oak backing for the handles and a grain visible texture. To this unit, we added some stunning black metal legs. This elevated the unit, and added an incredible modern, Scandinavian feel. We create these bespoke legs here in our workshop, and they can be finished in a variety of different colours, giving a unique look to your kitchen.
The other kitchen we designed was in collaboration with the 2LG Studio. They had designed the Garden Pod, which was a compact, working and living space, and needed a sleek, contemporary kitchen. With half of the outside of the pod being covered in copper cladding, we knew that it was going to be an incredibly cool space.
We created three different units for this space- a wall unit, an island with an incredible curved shelving unit and a free-standing base unit. The units have a grain finish, which adds a beautiful texture to the kitchen. By having these units free standing allows for an easy walkway around the pod, leaving ample space for working at the island.
